How Praxis handles student and therapist information.
Praxis is a private workspace for school-based occupational therapists. It stores student identity, evaluation evidence, drafts, and exported documents so a therapist can write and review an evaluation. This policy describes that processing. It is not legal advice.
What is collected
Therapist accounts include name, email, and optional credentials. Student records include names and school identifiers the therapist enters. Evaluations may include referral notes, assessment scores, classroom observations, functional performance notes, uploaded prior reports, AI drafts, goals, service recommendations, audit events, and PDF exports.
How information is stored
Live workspaces store records in a hosted Postgres database and private object storage. Access is limited by organization membership and row-level security. Prior-report files and evaluation PDFs are stored in private buckets. Sample-workspace data stays on the application host and is labeled as fictional.
Who can see records
Organization members can see records for their organization. Other organizations cannot. Service-role credentials are server-only and are not exposed to the browser. Praxis does not provide a family, student, or district portal.
Retention and deletion
Therapists can delete stored files from Settings. Student and evaluation records may be soft-deleted and hidden from the workspace. Deleting an account or asking the operator to remove a workspace is the path for broader erasure during this private beta.
Compliance posture
Praxis is intended for authorized educational-team use. It is not certified as FERPA or HIPAA compliant. Do not treat deployment on this site as a compliance determination. Use only fictional or independently authorized records during the private beta.
